FOR MATCHES & FRIDAY NIGHTS
- Please look at the Catering Rota and put your dates in your diary.
Most members have at least one duty. Should you have been missed don’t hesitate to get in touch with Rowena Haselgrove as several members have more than one duty.
If the date shown for you is inconvenient please find a suitable substitute. It is YOUR responsibility.
- LEADERS change with LEADERS
- BAR PERSONS change with BAR PERSONS
- LADIES change with LADIES
- GENTLEMEN change with GENTLEMEN
- If you change please amend Master Rota on the Kitchen Notice Board and INFORM YOUR TEAM LEADER.
If you have any problems please speak to a member of the Catering Committee
- Before your duty please speak to your team leader to ask when you are required and if you can help beforehand.
- On the day arrange to arrive at the Clubhouse by the time agreed with the leader.
- Your team leader will delegate jobs to you.
- Your team leader will advise you when all your duties for the day are complete and it is OK to leave (usually about 6.30 pm).
- If your duty game is cancelled you will be asked to help on an alternative date when some members are doing more than one duty.
Thank you all for assisting with catering. It helps to keep expenses down and spreads the workload around the Club.

Tea & Biscuits – Thursday’s & Weekends
Before Duty
Purchase Raffle Prizes – (weekend friendlies only) the maximum spend for 3 or 4 rinks and 4 or 5 triples is £17.00
For 5 and 6 rinks the maximum spend is £25.00
On the Day
- Please arrive about an hour before the start time
- Ensure all work surfaces in the kitchen are wiped down
- Switch on the water urn, and hot water for washing up (switch near microwave), and dishwasher ready for later. Offer visitors a drink on arrival
- Put out the cold water urn, plastic cups, and cushions from the ladies changing room
- When the players go out to the green wipe down the tables and prepare the Tea/Coffee and biscuits for halftime. Use 8 -10 teabags in a large teapot. Use the biscuits from the box labelled “Friendlies” allow 2 biscuits per person
- Set out raffle prizes and put the spatulas on the tables (used instead of raffle
- After tea, clear and wipe the tables
- At the end of the game offer drinks from the bar (weekend games only) and then draw the raffle
- Fill out the expenses form. There is a charge of a pound per person from members for Tea & Biscuits. Take the money that you spent on prizes from the raffle money and put the profit in a cash bag in the bar till, clearly marking what it is from and how much it is
- Collect any used tea cloths (including from the bar). Please take these home and wash, iron and return to the club a.s.a.p.
- Collect water urn from outside, empty and leave upside down on the draining board. Put away the cushions in the ladies changing room
- Ensure that the water urn and hot water are switched off. Turn off the dish washer once it has finished and been emptied
- Ensure that the kitchen is clean before you leave, please wipe down all surfaces and sweep and mop the floor
